Dan Wolfe Gets Second

The first round of the Irish Downhill National Points Series got under way on the weekend of the 26/27th March.

Held at Rostrevor Forest Park, the course was typically slick and gnarly. The Chain Reaction Cycles World Cup Team were in attendance and the course bit them hard, taking out two of their riders with some nasty injuries.

Dan Wolfe, of the Renthal supported Wolfe Racing Team, kept it fast and rubber side down to take second place, missing the top step by just 0.171 seconds from previous World up winner, Matti Lehikoinen.

Gerard Wolfe flew in from a winter in New Zealand, and despite just six hours sleep in two days and some serious jet lag, he still managed a very tired 7th position!
